The Nigerian Diaspora Commission, NIDCOM has condemned the alleged murder of the Deputy Director-General of Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria, Elizabeth Ndubuisi-Chukwu in South Africa.
The Media Assistant in NIDCOM, Gabriel Odu made the condemnation in a statement in Abuja.
According to Odu, this is one death too many and cannot be swept under the carpet.
He said that the Chairman of NIDCOM, Abike Dabiri-Erewa had called on South African authorities to rise up to their responsibilities and ensure that those behind the act were brought to book.
Ndubuisi-Chukwwu was in South Africa to attend the Conference of the African Insurance Organisation.
She was reportedly found dead in her room at Emperor’s Palace Casino Hotel and Convention Centre, Johannesburg on June 13th.
