SERAP Seeks Audit Of Buhari’s Loans, Review Of Ex-Governors’ Pensions

The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project, SERAP has called on the Federal Government to make available details of the loans acquired since May 29th, 2015, including details and locations of the projects the funds were deployed.

The group in a Freedom of Information, FoI request also implored the President Muhammadu Buhari to use his position to set up an independent audit of all loans to resolve any accusations of mismanagement and corruption.

It would be recalled that last week President Buhari had required the approval of the National Assembly for a fresh loan of 5.513 billion dollars credit to fund the 2020 budget deficit, critical projects and support some states.
