The Minister of Police Affairs, Mohammed Dingiyadi, Inspector General of Police, Abubakar Adamu and Chairman, Police Service Commission, Musliu Smith appeared before the House of Representatives Committee on Police Affairs.

Usman Kumo, Chairman of the committee

The chairman of the committee, Usman Kumo, said that the committee invited the government officials to mediate disagreements between the agencies relating to employment of new police officers.

He said that to address insecurity in the country, there was need for synergy between all relevant agencies.

Kumo said that the agencies would also brief the committee on what had been so far done to address insecurity in the country.

In his remarks, Maigari commended the committee for inviting all the parties with the intention to resolving the matter.
