The Nasarawa State Police command has solicited for media cooperation in order to wipe out criminal elements in the state and the country.

The State’s Police Commissioner, Bola Longe called for the partnership when members of the state Correspondent’s Chapel paid him a courtesy visit in Lafia, Nasarawa state.

He urged the journalists to support the command with vital information that would help in preventing and curbing criminal activities in the state.

According to Longe, the collaboration would also go a long way in publicising the activities and success of the command to the public.

The Vice President, Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, North Central zone, Wilson Bako, assured the police of their readiness to adhere strictly to their professional ethics.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Correspondent’s Chapel Suleiman Abubakar said that the visit was to strengthen the existing working relationship with the police command.
