The Presidency has alerted Nigerians on the alleged attempt to destroy the images of national institutions by some of those not happy with the outcome of the February 23rd presidential elections.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity Garba Shehu, stated this when he fielded questions from newsmen in Daura, Katsina State, shortly after he voted at polling unit Kofar Baru-3, Gidan Niyam, Daura, Katsina State.
The presidential aide maintained that the individuals, who are also determined to capture power at all cost, had targeted the Independent National Commission, INEC the police and courts for destruction.
Shehu, who stated that the presidency was not disturbed by the legal action taken by the defeated presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP Atiku Abubakar, in the March 23 presidential election, said already local and foreign observers had adjudged the election as fair and credible.
