House of Representatives, has promised immediate action by the Federal Government to address security challenges bedeviling the country.

The Speaker of the House, Tajudeen Abbas, said this when he addressed a World News Conference in Abuja.

He said the lawmakers were committed to ensuring justice, and restore peace and order in every part of the country.

Abbas said that President Bola Tinubu, had demonstrated unwavering commitment to improving the security situation in the country, by enhancing the capability of the armed forces.

He explained that the acquisition of the state-of-the-art aircraft such as T-129 ATAK helicopter and the King Air 360 aircraft by the Nigerian Air Force was an indication of government’s commitment to investing in the security infrastructure.

He added that the step reflected a proactive stance in adapting to the dynamic challenges of modern warfare and a commitment to providing the armed forces with the best tools to defend Nigeria and its people.

He commended Tinubu on his response on the issue of food security, adding that the 2023 Supplementary Budget provided a N200bn palliative package.
