Granada of Spain midfielder Ramon Azeez has been handed a recall to the senior national team of Nigeria after a fine start to life in the Spanish Laliga, where he was on target last weekend in their 2-0 win over League Champions Barcelona.

Azeez wasn’t the only new player called up to the team with Slavia Prague of Czech Republic forward Peter Olayinka also handed a first time call up to the Nigerian team for the friendly game against Brazil in Singapore next month.

The duo were the only two new players in the team with coach Gernot Rohr st‎icking to the core of the players who prosecuted the 2-2 draw against Ukraine three weeks ago as only Bryan Idowu, Kelechi Iheanacho and Josh Maja were axed from the team.

Their was also a call up to Shehu Abdullahi who was missing from the last squad due to injury but captain Ahmed Musa wasn’t called up as he is yet to recover fully, same as Benfica full back Tyronne Ebuehi.
