The Jama’tu Nasril Islam, JNI has called on Muslims to redouble prayers for lasting peace and development in Nigeria during the last ten days of the Holy month of Ramadan.
The JNI in a statement by its Secretary General Khalid Aliyu said the last ten days of Ramadan also hold the blessed night when the Qur’an was revealed. The Islamic body said it is at peak of worship and a period for secret conversation with Allah for the relief of personal and collective challenges.
It added that the period holds enormous bounties and blessings as such every Muslim must engage in supplication so as to earn Allah’s boundless favours.
The group reminded Muslims on the need to give out Zakatul-Fitr to the needy in the last three days of Ramadan or in the early hours of Sallah day, before the commencement of the ‘Eid prayer.
