The Police Service Commission has approved the appointment of new Commissioners of Police, CP, for Bayelsa and Borno state commands.
The newly appointed commissioners are Alausa Tolani for Bayelsa State and Yusuf Lawal for Borno State.
A statement by the commission spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani on Monday, said the commission approved the appointments at the ongoing 21st plenary at its Corporate Headquarters in Abuja.
Ani also said the Chairman of the Commission, Solomon Arase urged the CPs to re-strategise and ensure they dislodge criminal elements from their commands.
Ani said the commission chairman promised to continue creating an enabling environment for officers to give their best, adding that Nigeria’s security remains a priority for national growth
