An estimated 90 per cent of Nigerians and 2.3 billion people globally lack access to safe and efficient electricity.
The Managing Director, Anglophone West Africa, Schneider Electric Christophe Begat said access to steady power in Africa remained a challenge.
He added that about 90 per cent of Nigerians do not have access to safe, efficient electricity and this is a challenge to solve.
Begat who was speaking at the firm’s Digital Innovation Day 2019 noted that globally, an estimated 2.3 billion people do not have either or steady electricity.
Over 500 participants, including stakeholders and experts in technological innovations, automations and energy management had converged on Schneider Electric’s Innovation Day held in Lagos.
