The Nigeria Labour Congress,NLC has called for a rancor-free, credible and  fair general  elections.

NLC President, Ayuba Wabba, made the call in an interview in Abuja.

Wabba said that the call became necessary due to the recent happenings in some parts of the country, ahead of the elections slated for February 16 and March 2.

According to him, the elections should be peaceful, rancor-free and most importantly credible in all its ramifications.

Wabba stressed that ensuring credible elections was the only way that democratic culture would be advanced, adding that “we must build on the success of what we have been able to achieve as a country.

He also called on the Independent National Electoral Commission and other stakeholders to ensure peaceful, free, fair and credible elections.
