The Federal Government has described as false, allegations that foreign military based are to be established in Nigeria.
In a statement signed by the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, the government urged the general public to totally disregard the falsehood.
Idris went on to explain that the government has not received any proposals from any country on the establishment of any foreign military bases in Nigeria.
He said the Nigerian government already enjoys foreign cooperation in tackling ongoing security challenges, adding that President Bola Tinubu remains committed to deepening these partnerships, with the goal of achieving the national security objectives of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
