The International Cricket Council has announced that Nigeria will participate in the Men’s T-20 World Cup Qualifier.

The Yellow Greens, as the country’s national cricket team is called, will take the 14th and final spot, replacing Zimbabwe, who are currently on suspension, at the events in the United Arab Emirates, UAE in October.

Nigeria will join hosts UAE, Hong Kong, Ireland, Kenya, Namibia, The Netherlands, Oman, Papua New Guinea, Scotland, Singapore and two teams from the Americas final due to be held later this month.

The West African nation came third in the Africa Men’s Final, therefore becoming the third African team in the global qualifier along Kenya and Namibia.
