The Federal Road Safety Corps FRSC has deployed personnel to ensure free flow of traffic during and after the nation’s 61st Independence Day celebration on Friday.
FRSC’s Corps Marshal, Boboye Oyeyemi, gave the assurance in a statement by the Corps Public Education Officer, Bisi Kazeem, today in Abuja.
Oyeyemi, however, called on motorists and other road users to imbibe decent and safe driving habit during the period.
Oyeyemi also said that the FRSC would use the period to intensify its ongoing ember months’ campaign, adding that aggressive sensitisation had begun across its formations nationwide.
The theme of the 2021 ember months’ campaign is: “Maintain Safe Speed, Avoid Night Travels and Enjoy Quality Road Experience.
