The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF says final decision has not been taken yet on Super Eagles Coach.
NFF President Amaju Pinnick made this known in Cameroon against the backdrop of assumptions that the federation had settled for the Technical Director Augustine Eguavoen and former international, Emmanuel Amuneke to lead the team.
It would be recalled that Eguavoen served as the team’s Interim Coach following Gernot Rohr’s contract termination and led the team to the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON in Cameroon.
However, before the Interim Coach’s appointment, NFF had announced Portuguese coach Jose Peseiro as the head coach to take over the team after the AFCON.
Meanwhile, Amaju said the federation is working hand-in-hand with the Sports Ministry to make a best decision for the team, adding that the Technical Committee had their meeting and will submitted its report. He also confirmed that the Portuguese Coach has not signed a contract with the federation.
