The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III has said Nigeria is going through a serious security problem.

Abubakar spoke at a valedictory and welcome dinner of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, 12th General Assembly, which ushered in the new CAN President Rev. Daniel Okoh.

A Rivers indigene born in Kano, Okoh, who was elected this week, succeeds Rev. Samson Ayokunle.

The Sultan reminded Nigerians that they did not create themselves and should work for unity.

He added that Christians and Muslims need to do what pleases God.

Sultan Abubakar pledged support for CAN and prayed to God to help the body to lead right.

Ahead of the 2023 election, the Sultan urged citizens to create an enabling environment for peaceful polls.
