The National Assembly Service Commission has pledged to accord more priority to staff welfare, to enhance service delivery.
Executive Chairman of the commission Ahmed Amshi made the pledge after monitoring the 2021 induction/orientation programme for Legislative Aides, held in Abuja, with the theme: “Equipping legislative aides with the tools to meet the challenges of legislative business in the 21st Century,”
He said the commission was working on an adjustment in the minimum wage of the legislative aides.
The Executive Chairman, while commenting on outstanding arrears of some legislative aides, explained that the commission will discuss the matter with the management of the National Assembly.
He however urged the participants to imbibe the spirit of self-development to help themselves in the discharge of their duties.
