Four personnel of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC arrested over alleged stealing at Bayelsa Government House Yenagoa have returned to their duty posts.
It would be called that the sum of 40 million naira was allegedly stolen from the office of the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Bayelsa State government, Ebizi Ndiomu-Brown.
However, the Bayelsa state Commandant of NSCDC, Christiana Abiakam-Omanu, said the personnel were questioned and freed by the Police.
Also, the Bayelsa state Police Command had confirmed reports of stealing of large sums of money at the Bayelsa Government House, Yenagoa amidst discrepancies about the amount.
Superintendent of Police, Asinim Butswat said that some arrests have been made while investigation was underway.According to Butswat, seven security men comprising three policemen and four Civil Defense personnel on guard duties when the money got missing, were in custody and being interrogated
