The National Assembly Service Commission, NASC and the National Assembly chapters of the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria, PASAN have decided to embark on a strike action from Monday 10 th January. The resolution reached at the joint emergency congress of the two associations.


A communiqué jointly signed by NASS chairman Sunday Sabiyi and the
vice Chairman of NASC, M. A. Liman said they are protesting over
breach of the Memorandum of Understanding, MOU signed with
management on the full implementation of the new National Minimum
Wage Act 2019 and the Revised Conditions of Service.

The Associations called on the management to pay them, with immediate
effect, eight months outstanding balance of minimum wage; 2021 rent
subsidy, 15 months arrears of CONPECULIAR Allowance and six months
arrears of hazard allowance.


They also demanded for the implementation of 50 per cent balance of
CONLESS and the release of the year 2022 training template for staff,
evidence of provision of gratuity for retiring staff.
