The Multinational Joint Task Force has said it had killed 19 Boko Haram terrorists while conducting Operation Yancin Tapki at Tumbums in Lake Chad region.
The raids, which were supported by Air Task Force, resulted in the bombardment of the insurgents’ hideouts.
The Task Force spokesman, Colonel Timothy Antigha, in a statement said the combined forces from Nigeria and Niger Republic extensively bombarded the insurgents’ hideout in Tumbums community.
The statement added that the troops destroyed two gun trucks and captured two more suspects during the duel.
However, the sect on Monday evening attacked Kirchinga village in Madagali Local Council of Adamawa State.
The terrorists stormed the community at about 4:00pm, burning homes and looting shops.
