The Permanent Secrtary, Federal Ministry of Mines and Steel Development Abdulkadir Muazu, says the Federal Government is creating the enabling environment for the growth of the metallurgical sector.
Muazu, who was represented by Director, Reform and Coordination, Zachaus Ate, said this on Wednesday, at the 2nd Nigeria Metallurgical Industry Stakeholders Forum, an Engagement with the South-West Zone in Lagos.
The Forum was entitled: ‘Developing SMEs in the Metal Sector for Economic Diversification, Job Creation and National Prosperity’.
According to him, steel and other metal developments account for sustainable growth of any country.
Muazu said that if the sector was fully developed,
it would create jobs for over 50, 000 people.
