The Transmission Company of Nigeria, TCN has apologized to in Kaduna, Kano, and Plateau states customers over load shedding.

General Manager, Public Affairs of the company Ndidi Mbah in a statement in Abuja, said the load shedding in those states was due to efforts by the Niger Delta Power Holding Company, NDPHC to connect the new Lafia Substation to national grid.
She added that the Niger Delta Power Holding Company requested for power outage on the Makurdi-Jos portion of the Company’s Ikot Ekpene-Ugwuaji-Makurdi–Jos 330 kilo vault transmission line to enable it carry out transposition on the line and to connect the new Lafia substation.
The Spokesperson also noted that the connection work by Niger Delta Power Holding Company will increase the capacity of the national grid.
She however assured that bulk power supply will be restored on the Makurdi – Jos line immediately after Niger Delta Power Holding Company NDPHC completes the transposition work.
