Some People’s Democratic Party, PDP caucus in Kaduna State House of Assembly has criticized the Federal and State governments for failing to end the persistent attacks and killings in Southern Kaduna.
The representatives said they were embarrassed with the spate of killings in the area despite the deployment of security agencies.
The Minority Leader Emanuel Kantiok who described the killings as worrisome, explained that as elected lawmakers from the region, they are disappointed by the government’s attitude towards ending the attacks.
In same vein, Southern Kaduna Peoples Union, SOKAPU and Southern and Middle Belt Forum, SMBLF have called on the Federal Government and the international community for urgent help over the humanitarian crisis in Kaduna State as a result of incessant attacks by armed bandits.
SOKAPU Spokesman Luka Binniyat in a statement said despite the 24-hour curfew imposed on Zango-Kataf and Kauru, armed herdsmen still attacked the communities, the group also alleged that the curfew gave the gunmen the opportunity to attack the community and kill 10 persons.
On its part, SMBLF called on President Buhari to immediately stop the killings and bring the culprits to book, rather than keep making statements that seem to justify the killings.
