Reports say bandits have killed two of the 66 worshipers kidnapped on Saturday, October 31 at Emmanuel Baptist Church Kakau Daji, Chikun local government area of Kaduna state.

The Chairman, Kaduna chapter of Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN Rev Joseph John Hayab, who confirmed the incident to reporters,  said the bandits opened fire on five of their victims on Saturday, killing two while three others were injured and are currently in the hospital.

He also emphasized that the lives of the kidnapped worshipers are in danger and require urgent intervention of government and security agencies.

Kaduna State CAN however, appealed to well-meaning individuals, organisations, those in authority, especially the State, Federal Government and the international community to intervene.

The Christian Body also called on all Christians and people of the state to be united in fighting this evil and be watchful.
