The Nigerian Police Force said it’s men had rescued two kidnapped persons and arrested three suspects in connection with the crime.
Force Spokesman, Frank Mba, in a statement in Abuja said the suspects are Mohammed Bello, Suleiman Musa, and Abubakar Bello. He added that the victims were rescued by operatives attached to “Operation Puff Adder”.
Mba also named the victims as Ali Sale and Bala Bawa were kidnapped from their residence at Maijaki village, near Lapai Local Government Area of Niger state.
He added that Sale was rescued at Mai Lamba forest near Lapai, Niger, while Bawa was rescued at Gada Biu on the outskirts of Abuja.
Mba explained that before the rescue operation, the kidnappers were demanding eight million naira for release of the two victims. He said that two AK 47 rifles and rounds of live ammunition were recovered from the suspects.
