KDSG Releases N3bn For Payment Of Workers’ Gratuities, Death Penalties

The Kaduna State Government has earmarked 1.34 billion naira for community and social development programmes in the 2022 fiscal year.

The amount was provided in the 278.6 billion naira 2022 budget signed by Governor Nasir El-Rufai on December 22nd.

In the budget obtained in Kaduna, some 1.3 billion naira was allocated for capital expenditure and 32.7 million naira for recurrent expenditure.

The breakdown of the capital expenditure showed that 10.7 million naira was set aside for the expansion of livelihood support and grant for the poor and vulnerable households as well as 144 million naira for nutrition services.

It showed that the 30 million naira was allocated for the construction of hand pumps and motorised boreholes in some communities across 23 local government areas of the state.

The sum of 20 million naira was earmarked for procurement of mobility, learning and hearing aids, and 349.9 naira allocated for Grant A – community development plan while 300 million naira for Grant B – gender and vulnerable groups.
