The Kano State Fire Service has reported that property worth over N132,450,000 was destroyed in various fire outbreaks across the state in November 2024.
The service also confirmed three fatalities, with four other lives saved during its operations last month.
In a statement released by the Fire Service spokesman, Saminu Abdullahi, the agency disclosed that they responded to 43 fire calls, six false alarms, and five rescue operations from their 29 fire stations across the state.
Abdullahi lamented the loss of lives and properties but praised the efforts of the Fire Service personnel.
The Director of the Kano State Fire Service, Hassan Muhammad, emphasized the need for the public to exercise caution, especially during the harmattan season, known for its heightened risk of fire outbreaks.
