President of the African Court on Human and Peoples Rights, Justice Sylvain Ore, will lead a delegation on a one-week visit to the Economic Community of West African States, ECOWAS Court of Justice, Abuja and also meet with key Nigerian officials.
A statement from the Africa Court said the visit, which will take place from April 29th to May 4th, is a reciprocal visit which follows the inaugural visit by the ECOWAS Court of Justice to the Arusha-based court in 2018.
According to Ore, the visit will help to enhance judicial cooperation and share experiences between the two courts. He added that the visit was part of the court’s on-going efforts to strengthen ties with regional courts on the continent.
The delegation, which includes three judges and senior registry staff is also expected to pay a courtesy call on President Muhammadu Buhari and heads of other parastatals under the Judiciary.
