Students from Nigeria joined other participants in over fifty countries to celebrate the International Day of Football and Friendship in schools and sports academies.
The programme supported by the International Olympic and Paralympic Committees, football federations, famous athletes and other stakeholders, attracted more than forty thousand participants in more than two hundred events.
Gazprom International Children’s Social Programme Football for Friendship established the International Day of Football and Friendship which involves young participants from all over the world.
The organization committee member, Andrey Volostnykh in a statement said participants will hold friendly matches, workshops, meetings with football stars; children-participants exchange friendship bracelets with famous representatives of sports and social organizations, and cultural luminaries.
The organizers said the final events will take place in Spain from May 28th to June 2nd.
