Former Head of State, General Yakubu and National Chairman of ‘Nigeria Prays’ led the group in a prayer meeting for peace to reign in the northeast and Nigeria.
Gowon said the drive of the prayer rally was to intercede for the country, especially in this terrible and troubling time, adding that the group from the northeast gathered in Bauchi to pray for God’s blessings on Nigeria.
The Former Head of State, who noted that the country is faced with numerous challenges, urged all Christian faithful and other religions in the country to pray to God to help with the solutions of those problems.
Gowon prayed that may the war of insecurity end in Borno, Adamawa, Taraba, Gombe, Yobe, Bauchi states and the whole country.

organisers of the prayer.
