The Kaduna State Government says five persons have been killed and nine houses burnt in a fresh attack at Madamai village in Kaura local government area by bandits.
Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, in a statement said Acting Governor Hadiza Balarabe had however, condemned the attack and appealed for calm. He listed the deceased as Janet Yakubu, Gambo Yakubu, Jonathan Adamu, Monday and Humphrey Barnabas.
In same vein, the Kaduna State Police Command has confirmed the killing of unspecified number of farmers kidnapped at Buruku and Udawa villages in Chikun Local government area by bandits.
It would be recalled that the victims were abducted in their farms over a month ago.
Police Spokesman Mohammed Jalige also explained that the bodies of some of the victims were discovered at the weekend.
