The Federal Government has again called on states, local governments, community leaders, religious groups and individuals to support its efforts at ensuring a peaceful environment for all Nigerians.

The Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola was quoted as making the call in a statement in Abuja, by Director Press and Public Relations of the ministry Mohammed Manga.

The Minister, who spoke after a closed door meeting with Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau, said that security of all Nigerians was very important and that it could not be left in the hands of the Federal Government alone.

He stressed the need for collaborative efforts of all and sundry to tackle all threats to internal security in the country.

The Minister assured that President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration was committed to moving the country to the next level of socio-economic development through the protection of lives and property of Nigerians.

According to him, the government is committed to revitalising the economy and entrenching transparency in all aspects of governance.
