The Arewa Consultative Forum, ACF met to fashion out ways in which the Federal Government could tackle rising challenges to the nation’s life.
The meeting, which was held in Kaduna, was attended by only members of the ACF Board of Trustees, who are the policy-makers for the regional organisation.
The forum’s Spokesman, Muhammed Biu, said that the members were deeply concerned over rising insecurity in parts of the North and had taken time off to fashion out an agenda to help checkmate the ugly situation.
It will be recalled that the forum met last week and issued a strong statement on the state of the nation and called on the government to take urgent steps to halt the spate of killings and destruction across the country.
Also, Convener of the Northern Elder Forum, NEF Professor Ango Abdullahi, said that the NEF members would carry out a holistic review of the security situation in Nigeria and make its position known to the world.
