The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has presented the list of newly registered voters to political parties.
The National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee Festus Okoye, made this known in a statement in Abuja.
Okoye said the commission met and deliberated on a number of issues, including the ongoing registration of voters.
He said that the commission also discussed implementation of the timetable and schedule of activities for the 2023 general election which was released on February 26th.
According to Section 10 of the Electoral Act 2022 the Commission shall, within 60 days after each year, provide to every political party the names and addresses of each person registered during that year.
Okoye said that with the presentation of the soft copies, INEC has implemented part of the activities on the timetable for the 2023 general election.
