Report says unknown gunmen have killed four persons at a mining site in Dong Village, Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.
A community leader Emmanuel Dong, who confirmed the attack, said
the incident happened around at 6:00pm.
Plateau State Police Command Spokesman Gabriel Ubah, who also
confirmed the development, said personnel have been deployed to the
area and calm has returned to the area.
Also, a member representing Jos South/Jos East in the National
Assembly, Dachung Musa Bagos described the killing as one death, too
many.
He also sympathised with the families of Lo-Bwong of Lo-Tang, in
Hwolshe, Jos South Local Government Area over the inhumane and cold
blooded killing of members of their family by callous and bloodthirsty
bandits.
Bagos’ Media Adviser Danja Dafwam Yaks in a statement said the
recent massacre which resulted in the death of three of his constituents,
one other person and a woman recuperating in the hospital occurred at
Dong Village.
