President Muhammadu Buhari has been sworn in the country’s capital city Abuja for a second term.

Buhari won a disputed presidential election in February, defeating his former ally and the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party Atiku Abubakar.

At the states, 29 new governors are sworn in their respective state capitals. However, there will be no inauguration ceremonies in seven states of the federation because the tenures of their governors are yet to elapse.

The states are Anambra, Bayelsa, Edo, Ekiti, Kogi, Ondo and Osun.

The swearing-in of Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo was conducted by the acting Chief Justice of Nigeria CJN, Justice Tanko Mohammed at the Eagle Square, Abuja, the same venue they were sworn in on May 29th, 2015.jy4�l��
