Arewa leader in the South, Alhaji Musa Saidu has lauded the General Officer Commanding 6 Division, Port Harcourt, Rivers state, Major General Jamal Abdussalam for his effort to wipe out illegal oil bunkering activities in the Niger Delta region.
Saidu who is also Chairman Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria ‘s Anti-pipeline Vandalism and Petroleum Products Monitoring, noted that since Major General Abdussalam assumed office there had been commendable steps by military personnel to smoke out oil thieves in the region.
The Arewa leader said the onslaught against illegal bunkering activities in the region was a product of the political will demonstrated by the Chief of Defence Staff, CDS, General Christopher Musa and the administration of President Bola Tinubu.
He said the new resolve was good for the region as it woud help protect the environment.
