Governor Aminu Masari of Katsina State has charged resident in areas prone to activities of bandits to acquire weapons and defend themselves, noting that it is wrong for people to submit cheaply to the bandits without any attempt to defend themselves.

The Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission ICPC has commenced the tracking of 72 constituency and executive projects in Katsina State.

The reports that the projects were claimed to had gulped about 2.1 billion naira.

Assistant Chief Superintendent Buhari Bello made this known in an interview in Katsina.

According to him, the commission is tracking the 72 constituency projects across the three senatorial districts in the state.

He added that the exercise, which is going on in 17 states, is under phase three.

It would check how well money allocated by the government to critical sectors are utilised, he said.
