Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouq, has commended the National Commission for Persons with Disabilities NCPWD for the remarkable achievements it recorded within one year of its existence.
She gave the commendation when she paid a visit to James Lalu, the Executive Secretary of the Commission, in Abuja.
Speaking, Tanko Almakura representing Nasarawa South Consistency and Chairman, Senate Committee on Mineral Resources, said he had no doubt in the capacity of Farouq and Lalu to deliver.
Almakura, however, pledged his support to the Commission and Ministry in their efforts to deliver on their mandate.
The event attracted officials from the Ministries of Youths and Sports Development, Finance, Transport, Women Affairs, and other relevant stakeholders.
