The Federal Government says there is no favored treatment between groups agitating separation from Nigeria and bandits, especially in the North-West Zone, noting that the Super Tucano jets changing wave of terror fight.

  • Minister of Information and Culture Lai Mohammed, while making explanation in Abuja, described as misrepresentative the concept that members of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, were getting harder clampdown from security forces.
  • He also insisted that the Government would continue to apply necessary measures, including use of the military, to prevent criminal groups from undermining the territorial integrity and peace of the country.
  • Mohammed however advised that the issue of security should not be politicised because of its sensitive nature, noting that bandits kill soldiers; kill policemen and innocent people.
