Senator Hope Uzodinma of the All Progressives Congress, APC has been sworn-in as the substantive Governor of Imo state, after the Supreme Court declared him winner of the March 9th, 2019 governorship election.
Uzodinma was sworn-in by the Imo Chief Judge, Justice Pascal Nnadi, with his team of about thirty judges from the State judiciary, after his Deputy, Placid Njoku, who took his oath of office at the Hero’s Square in Owerri.
Uzodinma, in his inaugural speech, described his victory as `rare’ and a reminder that God is faithful and does not abandon those who trusted in him.
He also commended the Supreme Court for restoring the people’s confidence in the judiciary and the APC National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole as well as the party’s Central Working Committee, for their efforts in ensuring that justice prevailed.
