Gunmen Kill Delta Director, 4,030 Displaced By Bandits In Niger

The Niger State Emergency Management Agency, NSEMA has said about four-thousand persons have been displaced in four local government areas by bandits in the State.

The Agency’s spokesman, Hussein Ibrahim, who announced this to newsmen in Minna, said over one thousand persons displaced from communities in Shiroro, Munya, Pandogari, and environs in Rafi and Adunu and surrounding areas in Paukoro local government area of Niger State.

Niger state governor, Abubakar Bello recently led a delegation that include a former governor of the state, Babangida Mu’azu Aliyu to President Muhammadu Buhari to solicit the intervention of the Federal Government on banditry attacks in the state.

Also, suspected gunmen on Sunday killed a Director attached to the Delta State Ministry of Works, J.O Onochie.
