The Bureau of Public Service Reforms, BPSR has applauded the media for helping to promote government policies, programmes and activities, to deepen inclusion of all Nigerians in the governance process.
Director General of the Bureau Dasuki Arabi, who gave the commendation in Abuja during a media luncheon, said the media have helped to educate Nigerians on the current reforms of the public service.
He also called for incorporating new sustainability and equity criteria, delivering sustainable innovation in public service and building the internal capabilities to deliver services.
Arabi vowed to look into areas the bureau would enhance the capacity of the media to enable them learn more, including the application of ICT tools and techniques to enhance their jobs.
The Director General however assured the journalists that the bureau would remain open for them to discharge their duties.
Arabi said the Bureau would also maintain robust collaboration with local and international partners in achieving its public service reform agenda.
He disclosed that the organisation had undertaken various training, seminars and workshops for heads of ministries, departments and agencies, as well as board members of agencies in the country.
