Germany Beat Flamingos In Opening Match At FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup

European champions, Germany beats Nigerian Women National Team, The Flamingos 2-1 in their opening match at the 2022 FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup in Goa, India.

The teams top goal scorer Opeyemi Usani enter the tournament books when she struck into the net of New Zealand a free-kick in the 30th minute to give Nigeria the lead. The well drilled Germans scored twice in the second period to scoop all three points.

The Flamingos will on Friday play against New Zealand in the group stage second match of the competition. Nigeria are in Group-B of the competition alongside Germany, Chile and New Zealand.
