The Troops of the Multinational Joint Task Force have killed about twenty fighters of the Islamic State West African Province, ISWAP in a raid on Arege, Malkonory and Tumbum Rego areas of the Lake-Chad region of Borno State.
The troops, comprising soldiers from Nigeria, Niger, Chad Republic and Cameroon, also destroyed gun trucks, arms, ammunition and Vehicle- Borne Improvised Explosive Devices, left behind by the insurgents.
According to a statement from the MNJTF Chief of Military Public Information Colonel Timothy Antigha, four soldiers were injured and had been evacuated for medical attention.
