Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Works and Housing, Babangida Hussaini, says the federal government has strengthened private sector collaboration towards meeting its affordable mass housing and job creation targets for Nigerians nationwide.
Hussaini said this at the ongoing 10th meeting of the National Council on Land, Housing and Urban Development which held at Ikeja, Lagos State.
The theme of the annual programme was: “Housing Development as a Catalyst for Job Creation, Social Inclusion and Economic Development”.
He revealed that the ministry has embarked on affordable mass housing nationwide, adding that, the projects were positively impacting the national economy through creation of direct and indirect jobs.
The Lagos State Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Idris Salako, said the state government had created an enabling environment to encourage investments in real estate sector.
