Federal Government is still using the Integrated Personnel Payroll Information System, IPPIS to pay University lecturers salaries.
National President of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, Emmanuel Osodeke, who made the known in an interview, complained that the government had yet to implement its pledge to remove tertiary institutions from the Integrated Payroll and IPPIS platform.
He also confirmed that the January salary was paid through IPPIS.
It will be recalled that in December 2023, the FG announced that tertiary institutions including universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education had been exempted from the platform.
