The National Research Institute for Chemical Technology NARICT says it has recorded several strides through the application of nanotechnology, a trend with foothold in chemical technology.
The Director-General of NARICT, Jeffery Barminas, said this in an interview with newsmen in Abuja.
Barminas said that the achievements were made possible with the support of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
According to him, nanotechnology has been applied in the design of catalysts for the production of hydrogen and aromatics for fuels from waste plastics.
He said that the foremost trend in chemical technology was the advent of green technology.
According to him, by adopting the principles of green chemistry in chemical manufacturing, companies can reduce waste and emissions, conserve resources, and create safer products.
