The Federal Capital Territory Administration has issued a three-month ultimatum to owners of undeveloped properties in the Federal Capital territory to develop their buildings or face demolition.
In a document signed by the Coordinator of the Abuja Municipal Management Council, Felix Obuah, the FCTA explained that the ultimatum followed a rise in the number of shanties and illegal structures across the FCT.
Obuah highlighted that these undeveloped buildings served as hideouts for “men of questionable character,” posing a security risk to residents.
Felix further warned that failure to develop the properties within the stipulated period would result in the revocation of land titles and the demolition of such structures.
