The Auditor-General of the Federation, Anthony Ayine has discovered over 175 billion naira deficit in non-mineral revenues shared by the Federation Account Allocation Committee, FAAC in 2017.
This is coming as he suggested the recovery of more than two-hundred-and-twenty-four million naira from the National Judicial Council, NJC arising from irregular contract variation for the construction of retirement residence of retired Chief Justice of Nigeria House, located in Asokoro, Abuja.
Ayine made this known in a 2017 audit report of federal agencies.
The
report also announced that revenue generating agencies were underpaid over
billion naira as their cost of collecting revenue for government.
